Park Geun-o, Head of Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters, Conducts On-site Inspection of Large Construction Sites
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Park Geun-o, head of the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters, visited a large accommodation construction site located in Seogwipo City on the 11th to conduct an on-site fire safety inspection.
According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters on the 12th, this on-site inspection focused on checking the installation of temporary fire-fighting facilities and the proper handling of fire during welding and cutting work at the construction site.
Fire prevention safety education was also conducted simultaneously so that related personnel can respond quickly in case of emergencies.
Park Geun-o, head of the Fire Safety Headquarters, said, "Construction sites are vulnerable to fire, and even a small spark can escalate into a large fire," adding, "Please actively cooperate in preventing fires by continuously providing fire safety education and inspections for on-site workers and adhering to safety regulations."
Meanwhile, since the launch of the government, the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters has designated a 100-day period until August 17 as the "Intensive Fire Prevention Period," focusing on fire prevention measures targeting fire-prone areas such as large construction sites, traditional markets, and logistics warehouses.
