GS25, Growing Popularity of Cookat Products... Expansion of Specialized Stores and Exclusive Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS25 announced on the 12th that it will expand specialized stores and exclusive products as Cookat products gain great popularity among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z).
At the end of last year, GS25 selected its flagship store as a Cookat specialized store, introduced exclusive shelves, and began operating about 270 stores as Cookat enhanced stores. Recently, it also unveiled specialized stores with an expanded Cookat category.
According to sales data from January to April this year for these stores, Cookat's main product categories, frozen desserts and frozen snacks, showed sales 69 times and 16 times higher, respectively, compared to general convenience stores. In particular, it was confirmed that over 80% of customers who purchased Cookat products were in their teens to thirties.
GS25 plans to increase the number of specialized stores with exclusive Cookat shelves by more than 10 and expand Cookat enhanced stores nationwide starting in June.

A GS Retail official said, "Cookat products, which have been very popular mainly online, are also receiving a good response in the convenience store channel," adding, "We will continue to expand existing popular items as well as new and attractive products in offline channels through collaboration between GS Retail and Cookat."
