Nongshim Launches High-Protein Snacks 'Uwahan Kongchip and Cheese Chip'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nongshim announced on the 12th that it will launch high-protein snacks ‘Uwahan Kongchip’ and ‘Uwahan Cheesechip’ in line with the recent trend of preferring high-protein foods for health and nutrition supplementation.
Uwahan Kongchip and Cheesechip feature a protein content of 11.9%, which is 2 to 3 times higher than that of conventional snacks. In particular, the low-temperature cooking method preserves the unique taste and aroma of beans and cheese while maintaining a crispy texture. Additionally, each product is shaped to resemble peas and cheese, adding visual enjoyment. The brand name ‘Uwahan’ combines the word ‘elegance,’ meaning premium snack, with the exclamation ‘Wow.’
