View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] LG Electronics announced on the 12th that it will operate a pop-up store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, to commemorate the launch of the ‘LG DIOS Objet Collection Wine Cellar,’ which offers a differentiated customer experience and comes in various colors.
The LG DIOS Objet Collection Wine Cellar features a lineup of five products that can store 8, 49, 77, 81, and 121 bottles. Customers can choose a product according to their usage purpose, considering diverse lifestyles.
The new product actively reflects the voices of DIOS wine cellar users to provide a differentiated customer experience. After linking the wine cellar with the LG ThinQ app on their smartphones, customers can simply take a photo of the front label of the wine to instantly check useful information for enjoying the wine, such as the name, type, origin, price, flavor, recommended food pairings, and customer ratings.
When customers set the location while storing wine, they can easily find the desired wine through the LG ThinQ app. This feature is especially useful for customers using large-capacity products of 49 bottles or more.
It is also convenient to immediately know the history of stored wines or the quantity of each type currently stored. LG Electronics plans to offer various customized functions in the future, such as recommending products based on customers’ wine preferences analyzed from their wine storage history.
LG Electronics has included the wine cellar in the LG Objet Collection, a space interior home appliance line, and released it in various colors. The new product is coated in expert-selected colors such as Crystal Forest Green, Crystal Beige, and Crystal Pink, allowing the wine cellar to harmonize with any space in the home, including the living room, kitchen, and study.
The representative model, the 81-bottle product (model name: W0812GG), along with other large-capacity wine cellars, is equipped with an inverter compressor that not only reduces noise but also maintains a consistent temperature to preserve the taste and aroma of the wine for a longer time. Additionally, the upper and lower compartments’ temperatures can be set differently according to the types of wine stored. The triple-glass door, effective in blocking ultraviolet rays, prevents the wine from deteriorating due to external light exposure.
The new product’s price ranges from 510,000 to 2,500,000 KRW based on capacity at shipment. LG Electronics recently started selling the 8-bottle capacity new product through various online and offline channels such as Best Shop and Online Brand Shop (OBS). The large-capacity models are scheduled for sequential release starting at the end of this month.
From June 12 to July 12, LG Electronics will operate a pop-up store at ‘Wicked Wife,’ a wine shop and wine bar located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, where customers can experience the new product. During the operation period, a tasting event comparing the taste of wines stored in the LG DIOS Objet Collection Wine Cellar and those not stored in the cellar will be held every Friday and Saturday. Additionally, LG Electronics has prepared various events, including giving limited-edition wine glasses on a first-come, first-served basis to customers who post visit verification photos on Instagram.
