Standardization of Customer-Preferred Features and Some Optional Features by Trim
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 11th that it has launched the ‘2022 Grandeur,’ which enhances product competitiveness by standardizing customer-preferred specifications.
The 2022 Grandeur has significantly increased its product competitiveness by expanding the application of premium safety and convenience features that are highly preferred by customers, based on data from existing Grandeur contract customers.
First, a 12.3-inch color LCD cluster and a touch-type climate control controller have been standardized across all trims to improve customer satisfaction. Additionally, the popular trim LeBlanc now includes suede interior materials and rear seat manual curtains, which were previously only available in higher trims, as standard features to enhance luxury.
Along with this, intelligent safety features such as ▲Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (for cyclists and oncoming vehicles at intersections) ▲Highway Driving Assist ▲Smart Cruise Control (including stop and go function) ▲Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (for safe zones and curved roads) ▲Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist ▲Remote Smart Parking Assist have been equipped as standard on the Exclusive trim, greatly enhancing safety.
The top-tier trim, Calligraphy, comes standard with a head-up display, which is highly preferred by customers. Reflecting the individual consumption tax of 3.5%, the selling prices of the 2022 Grandeur gasoline 2.5 models are ▲Premium 33.92 million KRW ▲LeBlanc 36.22 million KRW ▲Exclusive 38.53 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 42.31 million KRW, and for the gasoline 3.3 models ▲Premium 36.76 million KRW ▲LeBlanc 40.10 million KRW ▲Exclusive 41.03 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 44.81 million KRW.
The hybrid models, with tax benefits and individual consumption tax applied, are priced at ▲Premium 37.87 million KRW ▲LeBlanc 40.08 million KRW ▲Exclusive 42.04 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 46.06 million KRW.

Meanwhile, the Grandeur was the best-selling car in the domestic passenger car market last year, with 89,084 units sold. It has consistently gained popularity, achieving the number one domestic sales position for five consecutive years.
