Implementation Plans and Case Studies of Online International Exchange Between Schools
The Ministry of Education and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO will hold the '2nd UNESCO Schools Teachers' Open Forum' online on the 11th.
The UNESCO Schools Teachers' Open Forum is an event where domestic UNESCO school administrators, teachers in charge, officials from the Ministry of Education and metropolitan and provincial offices of education, and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO participate to share best practices of UNESCO school activities and discuss key issues.
UNESCO Schools is a program that spreads UNESCO's ideals and spirit and supports international exchanges between schools, with 566 schools in Korea enrolled.
This year, a total of four forums will be held. The second forum will focus on the theme of 'Methods and Case Studies for Conducting Online International Exchanges Between Schools.'
Professor Kim Da-won from Gwangju National University of Education will explain the procedures for conducting online international exchanges. She will provide detailed guidance on how teachers who wish to engage in international exchange activities can select target countries and schools, prepare joint classes, and evaluate exchange activities.

There will also be presentations of cases by UNESCO school teachers who have successfully completed online international exchanges. Cases introduced include Korea-Japan online joint classes, international exchanges with Heiligenhaus Realschule in Germany, and online international exchanges with Vietnam-Germany High School. A discussion session will be held on points to note in online international exchanges and useful information.
