Former Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly Member Jo Hyun-il Finalized as People Power Party Candidate for Gyeongsan Mayor
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Jo Hyun-il, former member of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly, has been confirmed as the People Power Party candidate for mayor of Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk.
The People Power Party Supreme Council held a meeting on the 9th at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, regarding local election nominations and approved the nominations for the heads of 23 basic local governments in Gyeongbuk as originally proposed by the Gyeongbuk Provincial Party Nomination Management Committee.
Earlier, former Assemblyman Jo was recommended as the sole candidate through a vote by the members of the People Power Party Gyeongbuk Provincial Party Nomination Management Committee.

Jo Hyun-il, the preliminary candidate for mayor of Gyeongsan, said, “I feel a great sense of responsibility as I have been finally confirmed as the candidate by the People Power Party Supreme Council’s nomination approval,” and added, “I will join forces with the People Power Party city and provincial assembly candidates to win the main election and repay the citizens with a hopeful future for Gyeongsan.”
