Koscom Conducts Contribution Activities for Local Seniors and Small Business Owners in Celebration of Family Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Koscom is conducting social contribution activities for elderly people living alone and small business owners in the region in celebration of Family Month in May.
Koscom announced on the 10th that, together with Yeongdeungpo District Office, it will serve healthy summer meals to elderly people living alone and low-income households in the area.
They will provide samgyetang to about 700 vulnerable elderly people in the region. In particular, to support small business owners as well, they plan to serve nutritious meals made by small-scale, small business restaurants in 18 areas within Yeongdeungpo District sequentially throughout May.
At the nutritious meal support delivery ceremony held on the 6th, Hyungwoo Kwon, Executive Director of Koscom, said, "We consider it meaningful to serve healthy meals to the elderly while contributing to revitalizing the local economy by using small business stores that have been stagnant due to COVID-19."
