Blue Taehwagang River Currents Split ... Ulsan City to Operate Water Sports Experience Classes in First and Second Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City is hosting a 'Water Sports Experience Class' to expand the base of water sports by utilizing the resources of the Taehwa River. It will be held in two sessions, divided into the first and second halves of the year.
The first half will run for 16 days from May 14 to June 26, and the second half will operate for 24 days from September 3 to November 20 on weekends and public holidays. The events include yongseon (dragon boat), canoe, and kayak.
The course is about 2 km round trip from Taehwa Bridge, where the dock is located, to Beonyeong Bridge, and it takes about one hour.
Anyone can participate, and group experiences linked to local festivals or events are also possible.
Applications for the Water Sports Experience Class can be made through the Korean Maritime Boy Scouts Ulsan Federation website or by phone reservation, and on-site applications are also accepted.

Ulsan City assigns eight professional operators with lifeguard certifications to be on duty. After explaining registration, wearing safety equipment, safety education, experience guidelines, and local weather conditions, participants proceed with the experience with the help of guides.
