UK Defense Secretary: "Putin and His Close Associates Must Face a Nazi-like End"
On the 9th, Victory Day in Russia marking the end of World War II, the UK Secretary of Defense is reported by British media including The Times to plan remarks stating that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his close associates "should meet the same fate as the Nazis."
According to local reports, Secretary Wallace is scheduled to deliver a strongly critical speech against Russia at the UK National Army Museum on the day. In the pre-obtained speech text, Wallace said, "President Putin, his associates, and generals demonstrate the fascism and dictatorship of the Nazis from 70 years ago by invading Ukraine."
Wallace then targeted President Putin and others, saying, "They are repeating the mistakes of totalitarian regimes from the last century," and emphasized, "Their end must naturally be the same as (the Nazis)."
The Nazi war criminals defeated in World War II were judged at the Nuremberg Trials after the war. Of the 24 defendants, 12 were sentenced to death, 3 to life imprisonment, and 4 to fixed-term imprisonment.
Secretary Wallace is also expected to mention the responsibility of senior Russian officers. He criticized, "Russian generals conspired with President Putin, who exploits the proud history of their ancestors who sacrificed for a higher purpose by defeating fascism."
He continued, "The Russian government is using the Victory Day commemorations to hide poor leadership and miscalculations in Ukraine," and "To justify this war, President Putin and his generals are driving Russia’s past and future to extremes that tear it apart."
