[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong and InterContinental Seoul COEX are offering premium summer bingsu at the lobby lounges on the first floor of both hotels until August 31.
According to InterContinental on the 9th, the "Jeju Apple Mango Bingsu," made with more than two premium Jeju-grown apple mangoes, is sold in limited daily quantities. The hotel uniquely presents the "Signature Ssuk (Mugwort) Bingsu," which reinterprets traditional Korean ingredients in line with global Korean Wave trends. Especially, the "Tomato Bingsu," introduced for the first time this year, features cherry tomatoes marinated in yuzu syrup for over 24 hours, combining a sweet and tangy flavor with health benefits.
The "Jeju Apple Mango Bingsu," offered at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas lobby lounge, is topped generously with more than two high-sugar-content premium Jeju apple mangoes, decorated with a mango-shaped dessert made from Valrhona white chocolate Opalis Chantilly cream and mango sherbet. To ensure the best quality apple mangoes, it will be sold in limited daily quantities. Since its debut in 2019, the industry's only "Signature Ssuk Bingsu" has become a steady favorite. It harmoniously blends fresh ssuk chocolate, ssuk ice cream, sweet red beans, and ssuk condensed milk, complemented by various nuts and injeolmi rice cake, delivering both taste and nutrition. The vegan bingsu, first launched in the hotel industry last year, has been upgraded this summer through the InterContinental chef contest to the "Avocado Vegan Bingsu." It features snowflake bingsu made from coconut, an avocado-shaped dessert made with coconut and tofu, and ripe creamy avocado atop lime sherbet, reflecting the recent healthy pleasure trend. Both the Signature Ssuk Bingsu and Avocado Vegan Bingsu are also available in single-serving sizes.

The InterContinental Seoul COEX lobby lounge has introduced the "Tomato Bingsu," a refreshing and healthy flavor requiring about 30 hours of preparation, for the first time this year. More than four types of cherry tomatoes, including green tomatoes and Daejeo tomatoes, are marinated in yuzu syrup for over 24 hours to enhance absorption of the antioxidant lycopene, then served with yogurt gelato. The mango bingsu is served with well-ripened mango flesh topped with mango sherbet and mango pearls. The coffee bingsu includes vanilla ice cream mixed with Lotus paste, coffee cookie crumble, nuts, and freshly brewed Illy espresso poured on the spot, with a decaffeinated option available. All three bingsu varieties can also be enjoyed in single-serving sizes.
