[Seoul District News] Eunpyeong-gu Launches 2nd Term of ‘Voice’ Advocating for Youth Rights Protection
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu announced the launch of the 2nd term of the Eunpyeong Youth Representatives Council "Voice," which raises voices to guarantee youth rights.
The appointment ceremony and orientation were held on the 23rd of last month at the main conference room of the Eunpyeong Culture and Arts Center.
"Voice" is a program aimed at guaranteeing youth rights in various fields. Youth representatives from schools and various institutions gather to raise their voices for youth rights protection, conduct agenda meetings, and engage in various activities.
On this day, a total of 26 institutions participated, including student councils from middle and high schools in the Eunpyeong area, youth operation committees, Eunpyeong-gu Youth Council, and Eunpyeong-gu Youth Participation Committee.
They pledged to carry out active activities for the youth of Eunpyeong-gu over the next year. During the subsequent orientation, they received training on team building programs, opinion gathering, and meeting facilitation skills, continuing exchange activities to build relationships among members.
Youth opinions discussed in "Voice" are shared with the district office, schools, and youth institutions and used as basic data for policy establishment and operation.

A representative of the Youth Culture House stated, "We will strive to activate 'Voice' so that youths in Eunpyeong can confidently participate and exist as citizens."
A district official said, "We hope that 'Voice' becomes the first place that Eunpyeong-gu youths think of when they want to express their opinions. We will continue to support 'Voice' to promote youth rights."
