View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jang Seok-woong, a preliminary candidate for Jeonnam Superintendent of Education, announced on the 3rd that he registered his support committee with the Jeonnam Election Commission and began fundraising for the committee.
The joint chairpersons of the support committee are Lee Gyu-jong, Central Committee member of the Yeo-sun Uprising Truth Commission, Pastor Kim Byung-kyun, Woo Jong-wan, co-chairman of the Yeosu City Social Security Council, Kim Gap-seok, former Acting Governor of Jeonnam Province, and Bang Dong-hyun, former Governor of the International Lions Jeonnam East District.
The fundraising activities are entirely based on voluntary donations from Jeonnam residents, and individuals can donate up to 5 million KRW.
Corporations, organizations, foreigners, private school teachers (excluding professors and lecturers), and public officials under the law are not allowed to contribute.
Donations up to 100,000 KRW annually are fully tax-deductible and refundable during year-end tax settlement, and amounts exceeding 100,000 KRW are eligible for a 15-25% tax credit.
Donations up to 1.2 million KRW annually can be made anonymously. Fundraising activities will continue until the expiration of the fundraising period.
