Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Holds 'Conflict of Interest Prevention Pledge Ceremony' on the 2nd
[Asia Economy (Bucheon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation held a pledge ceremony to prevent conflicts of interest.
The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation announced that on the 2nd, ahead of the enforcement of the 'Conflict of Interest Prevention Act for Fairness and Trust' scheduled for the 19th, it held a 'Conflict of Interest Prevention Practice Pledge Ceremony' for its executives and employees in the main office conference room in Bucheon.
Through the pledge ceremony, the foundation's executives and employees vowed not to pursue private interests that could affect fair job performance. They also committed to preventing various conflicts of interest that may arise during their duties and to participating in the creation of an integrity-based society.
Following the pledge ceremony, the foundation will implement various anti-corruption and integrity policies to prevent conflicts of interest. First, it will operate a traveling 'Integrity Office' in the form of headquarters tours twice a year, in May and October.
Additionally, on-site inspections regarding conflict of interest prevention will be conducted at workplaces, and employees' related questions will be addressed to internalize integrity awareness and promote integrity as a daily practice throughout the organization.
Lee Shin-deok, head of the foundation's Integrity Audit Team, stated, "The public's expectations for comprehensive anti-corruption and integrity efforts, including prevention of abuse of power and conflicts of interest in the public sector, are increasing," and added, "We will strive to actively implement and systematize the law as a Gyeonggi-do affiliated institution by strengthening anti-corruption and integrity policies that resonate with residents."
