Jangseong-gun Promotes 'Local Leader Training for Our Rice Processing Technology'
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it will launch the ‘Local Leader Training for Korean Rice Processing Technology’ starting from the 4th.
The ‘Local Leader Training for Korean Rice Processing Technology’ is a program that provides opportunities to acquire Korean rice processing technology for young entrepreneurial farmers and meal service personnel. It consists of a total of 20 hours (5 sessions) and will begin on the 4th, with lectures held every Wednesday.
The training allows participants to directly learn and master the entire process on-site, from raw material preprocessing to packaging, resulting in high satisfaction.
In particular, the program is notable for its competitive educational items.
The county has prepared various programs including a health-conscious retro-style snack ‘100% Brown Rice Nurungji’, rice gangjeong, barley bread, and traditional Gijeongtteok rice cakes.
The ‘100% Brown Rice Nurungji’ is expected to attract attention as it will directly transfer the core baking process technology currently used at the Jangseong Agricultural Products Processing Support Center.
A county official said, “This Korean rice processing technology training was planned due to continuous requests from local farmers and business representatives,” adding, “It will be a great help to those engaged in processing industries who have been considering diversifying their product lines.”
Meanwhile, since 2016, the county has been operating the Agricultural Products Processing Support Center, leading agricultural product processing, startup education, processed food development, production, and market expansion. Starting in the second half of this year, the Local Food Processing Center will also open, creating expected synergy effects between the centers.
