Runoff Elections in 6 Areas Including Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gangjin Scheduled for July 4-5

The candidates by electoral district are ▲ Goheung Gong Young-min ▲ Gokseong Lee Sang-cheol ▲ Gwangyang Kim Jae-mu ▲ Gurye Kim Soon-ho ▲ Naju Yoon Byung-tae ▲ Boseong Kim Cheol-woo ▲ Sinan Park Woo-ryang ▲ Yeonggwang Kim Joon-sung ▲ Yeongam Woo Seung-hee ▲ Jangseong Kim Han-jong ▲ Jindo Park In-hwan ▲ Hampyeong Lee Sang-ik ▲ Hwasun Koo Bok-gyu.
In Haenam, the incumbent county governor Myung Hyun-kwan was nominated unopposed.
Among them, the incumbent local government head Jeon Dong-pyeong, governor of Yeongam County, who ran in the primary, was eliminated, while the incumbent governors of Boseong and Sinan secured the nomination, gaining momentum for re-election.
The electoral districts holding runoff elections are Yeosu (Kwon Oh-bong, Jung Ki-myung), Suncheon (Oh Ha-geun, Heo Seok), Gangjin (Gang Jin-won, Lee Seung-ok), Wando (Kim Shin, Shin Woo-cheol), Jangheung (Gwak Tae-su, Kim Sung), and Muan (Lee Jung-woon, Choi Ok-soo), totaling six districts.
The runoff elections will be held on the 4th and 5th of next month, except for Muan, which will be held on the 5th and 6th.
The Mokpo mayoral election district, designated as a strategic electoral district by the central party, will have its primary method and schedule decided by the Emergency Response Committee on the 2nd of next month.
