"Why Won't You Answer?" 20s Sentenced to Prison for Assaulting Woman at Convenience Store Outdoor Table

The Changwon District Court Criminal Division 4 (Presiding Judge Kang Hee-kyung) announced on the 30th that it sentenced A (29), who was tried on charges of throwing a broken bottle and assaulting the woman (special injury), to one year in prison.
A was indicted for breaking a soju bottle and throwing it, then hitting the face of a woman drinking at a neighboring table in the outdoor area of a convenience store in Changwon, Gyeongnam, at around 3:10 a.m. on August 21 last year, causing injuries requiring five weeks of medical treatment.

The court explained the sentencing by stating, "The defendant has a history of multiple punishments for violent crimes, committed the crime during a probation period, and various sentencing factors were comprehensively considered."
