Food and Beverage Industry Sees Popularity in Unique Spring-Inspired Flavored Foods
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] As social distancing measures have recently been lifted and expectations for a return to normal life have increased, the food and beverage industry is continuously launching products that capture the essence of spring. Some products feature pink beverages with visuals of blooming flowers using fruits such as flat peaches, cherries, and strawberries, while others add fun and flavor with unique recipe combinations and packaging.
Gongcha Korea introduced a new pink-hued menu inspired by spring, utilizing the fragrant and sweet flat peach. The new menu, which includes premium Spanish flat peaches known for their low acidity and rich juice, features three items: ‘Flat Peach Blooming Crush,’ ‘Flat Peach Jewelry Milk Tea,’ and ‘Flat Peach Tart Crush.’
The Flat Peach Blooming Crush is a refreshing menu combining premium flat peach juice with fragrant jasmine green tea and tangy yogurt. It also includes a newly added topping of moist and soft green tea peach jelly, enhancing the fresh taste and adding visual enjoyment with a blooming flower-like appearance.
The Flat Peach Jewelry Milk Tea combines flat peach juice with two fragrant teas (jasmine green tea and earl grey tea) and chewy peach jewelry. The Flat Peach Tart Crush offers a variety of flavors with fragrant jasmine green tea, flat peach juice, soft sweet and salty cheese foam, and a topping of salted whole wheat cookies.
Yogerpresso launched the ‘Pink Blossom Latte,’ notable for its pink color created by adding cherry blossom powder to white chocolate. Other spring-themed beverages attracting attention include Tom N Toms’ ‘Blossom Tom N Chino,’ which emotionally captures the visual of fully bloomed cherry blossoms, and Starbucks’ ‘Pink Crystal Chamomile Tea,’ signaling the peak of spring.
