Gyeonggi Housing Prices Rise by an Average of 6.53%... Jeong Yong-jin's Bundang House Tops at 18.6 Billion Won
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] This year, the individual housing price increase rate in Gyeonggi-do was 6.53%, similar to the national average. Also, the most expensive house in the province was found to be the residence of Chung Yong-jin, Vice Chairman of Shinsegae Group, located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si.
Gyeonggi-do determined and announced the prices of approximately 511,000 individual houses in the province as of January 1st.
The average individual housing price increase rate in the province was 6.53%, similar to the national average (6.56%), ranking 6th among the 17 metropolitan local governments. This is 0.61 percentage points higher than last year's increase rate of 5.92%.
The region with the highest increase rate was Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, with an average increase of 13.81%. Yeoncheon-gun recorded the lowest increase rate at 2.53%.
Among the individual houses subject to announcement, prices of about 452,000 houses (88%) increased.
The house with the highest announced price was the detached house of Vice Chairman Chung Yong-jin located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si (total floor area 3,049㎡), priced at 18.6 billion KRW.
The lowest priced house was a detached house in Uijeongbu-si (total floor area 16.2㎡), priced at 910,000 KRW.

Owners and interested parties can file objections until the 30th of next month. If price adjustments are deemed necessary, they will be publicly adjusted on June 24.
