Shinan-gun and National Health Insurance Sign Business Agreement for Coastal Cleanup Project
Contribution to Marine Environment Protection through Establishing Shell Waste Recycling Infrastructure
[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Sinan County signed a business agreement yesterday (27th) with the National Health Insurance Service Gwangju Jeolla Jeju Regional Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as the National Health Insurance Service) to carry out a coastal cleanup project for marine environment protection.
The main content is that both organizations, as key institutions leading the establishment and practice of ESG (Environmental Protection, Social Contribution, and Ethical Management) management foundations, will actively cooperate to realize ESG management by supporting the installation and maintenance of shell waste crushers, engaging in social contribution activities such as collecting marine waste in coastal waters, and conducting campaigns for recycling shell waste to protect the local marine environment.
In addition, the National Health Insurance Service operates a social contribution fund to realize social value, and as social interest in the marine environment has emerged, it decided to donate 40 million KRW from the social contribution fund to Sinan County, which carries out marine environment protection projects, for the installation of shell waste crushers.
