Gwangju University Selected for Ministry of Education LINC 3.0... Fostering Talent in New Technologies and Industries
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju University announced on the 28th that it has been finally selected for the 3rd phase Leading University for Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Development Project (LINC 3.0) announced by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
With this selection, Gwangju University will receive an average annual support of 4 billion KRW for six years and will promote various demand-customized growth projects aimed at nurturing talent that meets the needs of industry and future society.
Gwangju University will focus on establishing an innovative ecosystem for industry-academia-research cooperation to nurture future talent in new industries and new technologies and to strengthen shared collaboration systems together with the Ministry of Education. It also plans to activate industry-demand-based and convergence education curricula and expand joint research linked to industry-academia-research cooperation.
In particular, in connection with LINC 3.0, Gwangju University plans to take the lead in enhancing career and employment capabilities by operating a sustainable industry-academia-research cooperation system, field-oriented joint education centered on industry demand, technology-based convergence education for the new normal era, and a career and employment development system (IVIPS).
