Boseong-gun 'Boseong Art Hall' Recruiting Artists for Exhibitions in the Second Half of This Year
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting artists to participate in the second half of this year's 'Boseong Art Hall Planned Exhibition' as part of the local artist support program until the 3rd of next month.
The recruitment target for artists participating in the second half exhibition covers all fields of visual arts.
Artists who are active as of the recruitment announcement date, local artists or artists originally from the area, or those recommended by the president of the Boseong Art Association are eligible to apply.
A total of 12 artists (teams) will be selected, and the exhibition is scheduled to take place from July to December.
Selected artists will be provided with exhibition space and a certain amount of operational allowance to cover costs such as transportation and installation of artworks.
Artist A, who participated in the first half 'Boseong Art Hall' exhibition, said, "I usually had few opportunities to exhibit, so I was disappointed, but being able to exhibit at Boseong Art Hall greatly helped promote my work."
Acting Governor of Boseong-gun, Deputy Governor Park Woo-yuk, stated, "We will actively utilize various cultural and artistic facilities to help residents heal their tired bodies and minds through culture and arts after COVID-19, recover their daily lives, and improve their quality of life."
Meanwhile, 'Boseong Art Hall' was established last year by utilizing the unused space of Yulpo Marine Green Tea Center (21 Uam-gil, Hoecheon-myeon, Boseong-gun).
