Democratic Party Strategically Nominates Lee Kwang-jae as Gangwon Governor Candidate
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The Democratic Party of Korea strategically nominated Lee Kwang-jae (Gangwon Wonju Gap) as its candidate for Gangwon Governor in the June 1 local elections on the 22nd.
On the same day, Shin Hyun-young, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, met with reporters after the emergency committee meeting and said, "There are some areas designated as strategic electoral districts and candidate recommendations," mentioning Gyeongbuk, Gangwon, Seoul Gangbuk-gu, and Busan Sasang-gu.
She added, "It was also decided that Lee will be designated as the strategic candidate for Gangwon Governor."
