Hyundai Motor Sponsors Korean Pavilion at Venice Biennale

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 22nd that it will officially sponsor the Korean Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale, held from the 23rd (local time) until late November.
This event began in 1895 and is one of the world's most prestigious international art exhibitions with over 120 years of history. It operates national pavilions as independent exhibition spaces by country. This year, more than 80 national pavilions will be held. The company has sponsored the Korean Pavilion since 2015.
This year's Korean Pavilion exhibition is commissioned by the Korea Arts and Culture Education Service, with artistic director Lee Young-cheol and lead artist Kim Yoon-chul participating. Artist Kim Yoon-chul also participated in the exhibition held at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul in 2020. The Korean Pavilion will showcase seven installation works that reexamine a world where objects, nature, and humans coexist.

Thomas Schmeira, Head of Hyundai Motor Customer Experience Division, said, "It is even more meaningful to sponsor the Korean Pavilion at this Venice Biennale, held for the first time in three years due to the impact of COVID-19."
