Nature Republic Unveils Ocean-Friendly Mineral Sunscreen Cream
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Nature Republic announced on the 22nd that it has launched the low-irritant mineral sunscreen ‘Greenderma Mild Cica Safety 100 Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++’, which does not use oxybenzone and octinoxate to protect marine ecosystems.
The new product offers triple functionality of whitening, wrinkle improvement, and UV protection with the highest level of sun protection, providing powerful effects while being a comfortable mineral sunscreen containing cica ingredients. It applies softly and moistly on the skin without the typical matte finish of mineral sunscreens, finishing with a smooth, non-greasy feel.
It has completed primary skin irritation tests and eye irritation human application tests, and has obtained the Excellent grade from Germany’s Dermatest, ensuring safe use. Additionally, it has passed human application tests for mask transfer prevention (mask-proof) and improved cleansing effect with first cleansing (easy washable). It is fragrance-free, making it suitable for daily care without preference or aversion to scent.
According to Nature Republic, oxybenzone and octinoxate, commonly used in sunscreens, are known to dissolve into the ocean, bleaching coral reefs and destroying marine ecosystems. Therefore, Nature Republic explained that it has introduced a low-irritant sunscreen that protects the marine environment and is safe for the skin.
