On the 22nd, the Ministry of National Defense announced that reserve forces mobilization training will resume from June 2nd, and the subjects will receive one day (8 hours) of mobilization training at their mobilization unit (if designated for mobilization) or at the local reserve forces training center. Additionally, one day of remote education will be conducted in a blended format.
The remote education is scheduled to take place for about two months starting in October, and individuals must complete 8 subjects (a total of 8 hours). Specific details such as the schedule, subjects, and methods of attendance will be provided later. If the remote education is not completed, the corresponding time will be carried over to next year's reserve forces training.
This marks the first resumption of reserve forces mobilization training in two years. The Ministry of National Defense initially postponed the reserve forces training scheduled to begin in March 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and then announced a full cancellation in August of that year. Training was also not conducted last year.
