BioX Selected as Industry-Academia R&D Operator by Ministry of SMEs and Startups
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] BioX announced on the 11th that it has been selected as a Small and Medium Venture Business Department industry-academia collaboration R&D project participant for the development of smart operation and control technology integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into the green hydrogen production HAAMA process.
The technology development project will be led by BioX as the main institution in collaboration with Professor Kyung-Hwa Cho's research team at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). They plan to implement an AI-integrated HAAMA-based integrated technology in a demonstration facility to increase hydrogen production volume.
BioX aims to install the HAAMA autonomous driving system in industrial organic wastewater treatment facilities such as domestic food waste, livestock manure, and anaerobic digester effluent.
By the second half of this year, BioX will collaborate with a Makgeolli manufacturing company to apply an integrated process system to domestic breweries using waste Makgeolli or waste liquor, one of the industrial organic wastewaters, for demonstration purposes.
Dr. Daeyeol Jung, Chief Technology Officer of BioX, said, "Through technological advancements introducing autonomous driving techniques into the AI-integrated HAAMA system, we will increase green hydrogen production efficiency while developing stable system operation methods."
