Hyundai Motor Group Opens Next-Generation Charging Platform... "Leading the Ecosystem"
Electric Vehicle Charging Service Platform 'E-CSP' Applied to E-Pit
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Hyundai Motor Group is taking the lead in the growth of the electric vehicle charging ecosystem by applying the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Service Platform (E-CSP)' to the ultra-fast charging station 'E-Pit.'
On the 11th, Hyundai Motor Group announced that it has developed the 'E-CSP' to improve the quality of electric vehicle charging services, expand customer convenience, and nurture charging operators. The platform has been applied nationwide to E-Pit stations and opened to charging operators to contribute to the qualitative and quantitative growth of the domestic charging ecosystem.
The E-CSP consists of ▲a control system for charging station operation and ▲a roaming system for charging brokerage between charging operators and members. Existing charging operators can reduce the burden of service development and operation by utilizing E-CSP, enabling more efficient business management. New operators are expected to find it easier to enter the charging market.
The 'E-Pit' equipped with E-CSP enables stable charging service use through ▲simplified membership registration and vehicle registration procedures ▲improvement from the previous method of using Blue and Kia Members points to a real-time deduction system ▲enhanced charging station information and minimized malfunctions.
Furthermore, the services provided to customers have been expanded and reorganized. Plans include ▲providing services at partner charging stations for E-Pit members even without partner-specific charging membership cards ▲flexible pricing plans ▲additional charging fee discounts through membership pass creation ▲expansion of partner points usable for payment to enhance customer convenience.
In addition, Hyundai Motor Group will sequentially resume E-Pit operations starting from Anseong Rest Area (Seoul direction) on the same day until the 15th. E-CSP will be applied not only to existing charging stations but also to newly planned stations, continuously expanding E-Pit's premium charging services nationwide.
Within this month, the first 'Jeju Saebil E-Pit' will open in the Jeju area. During the first half of the year, E-Pit stations will continuously be established in major urban areas with populations over 500,000, such as Mapo, Pangyo, and Gwangmyeong. Hyundai Motor Group plans to solidify its status as a leading electric vehicle company driving the electric vehicle charging ecosystem.
Moreover, starting this year, Hyundai Motor Group plans to fully promote the expansion of ultra-fast chargers by developing additional partnership models with various operators.
A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "Since its launch last year, E-Pit has improved customer complaints about electric vehicle charging services and led the expansion of charging infrastructure. We will strive for qualitative and quantitative growth of the charging ecosystem through the launch of the newly developed charging service platform and continuous expansion of charging infrastructure."
