'Missile Attack' Killed 57 and Injured 109 at Ukraine Train Station
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The death toll from the missile attack by Russian forces on the Kramatorsk train station in Ukraine has risen to 57.
Paulo Kyrylenko, governor of Donetsk Province, told CNN and others on the 10th (local time), "As of 11 a.m. today, 57 people have died and 109 have been injured."
Governor Kyrylenko stated, "Those with minor injuries have returned home, and patients with serious injuries have been transported to safe areas where they are receiving necessary support."
According to the Ukrainian government, on the 8th, a Tochka-U short-range ballistic missile fired by Russian forces struck the train station in Kramatorsk, a city in northern Donetsk Province.
At the time, it was reported that about 4,000 residents were at the station trying to evacuate by train. This is the worst civilian casualty incident since the outbreak of the war on February 24, based on the scale of a single attack.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said, "There were no Ukrainian troops around the train station at the time of the attack," and raised his voice, saying, "Russia is indiscriminately destroying civilians."
