Gyeonggi Seongnam Education Library Operates Reading Culture Program
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Seongnam Education Library will hold a library week reading culture program for students and local residents from the 12th to the 17th of this month.
This event, themed "Library, Connecting Books and You," is planned to promote library usage and provide opportunities to experience reading culture through programs such as meetings with authors and hands-on activities.
The meeting with the author is "The Terrifying Shrimp Eye" by author Miwoo, a one-person picture book performance incorporating theatrical elements, aimed at elementary school students and their families. The hands-on programs include "Making My Own Initials and Name Tags" and "Cake Making" for elementary and middle school students.
Jeon Seong-ryong, director of the Gyeonggi Seongnam Education Library, urged, "This event is prepared to offer various opportunities to experience reading culture and to encourage reading activities for students and parents, so we hope many people will participate."
