Worker Trapped Between Vehicle Doors Dies While Trying to Stop Slipped Sewage Tanker
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A worker trapped between the door gap of a septic tank vehicle slipped on a downhill alley in a residential area and ultimately died.
According to the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on the 8th, at around 5:20 a.m. that day, worker A (72 years old), affiliated with a service company under Yongsan District Office, was caught between the door gap and the vehicle of a 2.5-ton septic tank vehicle in an alley of a residential area in Cheongpa-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It is known that A was trying to stop the vehicle, which was parked but slipped down the slope.
A was working in a two-person team at the time, but the accident occurred while the other colleague was away. Firefighters who arrived rescued A, who had lost consciousness, around 6 a.m. and transported him to the hospital. However, A reportedly passed away around 9 a.m.
