Sharp Increase in Complaints Related to 'Corona Home Treatment'... Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Issues April Complaint Forecast

According to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on the 8th, a total of 22,275 complaints related to COVID-19 home treatment were collected from January to March. The main contents of complaints related to COVID-19 home treatment include ▲requests for issuance of isolation notices and release certificates for home-treated patients ▲inquiries about applying for COVID-19 living support funds ▲requests for improvement of inconveniences in non-face-to-face medical treatment ▲reports of violations of quarantine rules.
Although the COVID-19 infection trend has somewhat eased, since many citizens are still undergoing home treatment, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission expects related complaints to continue this month and has issued a complaint forecast to relevant agencies.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission also announced last month's complaint big data trends collected through the complaint analysis system. The total number of complaints in March was 894,755, an increase of 3.3% compared to the previous month (865,798). Compared to the same month a year ago (1,388,813), it decreased by 35.6%.
The region with the largest increase in complaints compared to the previous month was Sejong, which rose by 24.8% due to reports such as 'illegal parking and facility damage.'

By institution type, local governments (17.7%) and public institutions, etc. (2.1%) increased compared to the previous month, while central administrative agencies (20.8%) and education offices (18.1%) decreased.
