Emphasizing the Need for a Figure to Overcome Budget Barriers in the Next Government
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Han-ho] Woo Beom-gi, a preliminary candidate for mayor of Jeonju, emphasized, "I will revive Jeonju's economy with my experience of opening the era of an 8 trillion won budget."
On the 7th, candidate Woo said, "With 30 years of practical experience at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and various connections, I will play the role of a budget problem solver," and appealed for support, saying, "Let the citizens of Jeonju be the interviewers and choose who is the best suited to bring in more budget."
After passing the 35th Administrative Examination, he served as head of the Fiscal Analysis Division at the Planning and Budget Office, Planning and Coordination Officer at the Statistics Korea, and Director of the Long-term Strategy Bureau at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, highlighting that he is a nationally certified budget expert.
He worked most of his 30-year public service career at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the core budget department, and with his various connections in the central government as assets, he can play a significant role in securing government budgets.
Candidate Woo said, "In the past, when I was at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, even if I wanted to help Jeonju, the scale of projects was small. If we expand the scope, securing even half of the budget would yield great results," adding, "I will drastically increase and attract budgets for regional development and the citizens of Jeonju to achieve a revolutionary transformation of Jeonju."
