NH Nonghyup Bank Donates 100 Million KRW Consolation Money to Bereaved Family of Fallen Firefighter in Pyeongtaek
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] NH Nonghyup Bank delivered 100 million KRW in consolation money to the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters for the bereaved families of firefighters who died in the fire at the Pyeongtaek new construction site last January.
On the 7th, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced that a consolation money delivery ceremony was held at the 6th-floor video conference room of the headquarters building in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, attended by Kwon Joon-hak, President of NH Nonghyup Bank; Park Geun-cheol, Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea in the Gyeonggi Provincial Council (Uiwang 1); Choi Bong-gap, Head of Member Support Department of the Korea Firefighters Mutual Aid Association; and Choi Byung-il, Head of the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
Kwon Joon-hak, President of NH Nonghyup Bank, said, "I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families of firefighters who sacrificed their lives to save the precious lives of the people," adding, "I hope this consolation money will be of some help to the families in overcoming their grief."
Choi Byung-il, Head of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, expressed gratitude to NH Nonghyup Bank for conveying their condolences for the sacrifice of the fallen firefighters and emphasized, "We will do our best for a safer Gyeonggi-do."
The consolation money delivered on this day will be passed on to the bereaved families of three fallen firefighters through a donation to the Korea Firefighters Mutual Aid Association.
