President-elect Yoon Tours Samsung Semiconductor Factory During Helicopter Transfer
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol expressed special interest while touring the Samsung Electronics semiconductor factory located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, during a helicopter transfer for an on-site visit on the 7th.
According to spokesperson Bae Hyunjin, President-elect Yoon took a helicopter from Seoul Airport to Camp Humphreys, a U.S. military base in Pyeongtaek, and viewed the Samsung semiconductor factory in Pyeongtaek from the air along the route.
While observing the factory, President-elect Yoon conveyed his determination to "discover more advanced industries, such as the semiconductor industry, which are the future food sources of the Republic of Korea, and to develop them into world-class leaders."
