LG Uplus, LG HelloVision, and Busan Haeundae-gu Collaborate to Revitalize Local Tourism
'Why Not' Campaign Initiative... Participation in Local Festivals in May
LG Uplus announced on the 7th that it will join hands with LG HelloVision and Haeundae-gu to revitalize the local economy. View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] LG Uplus is joining hands with LG HelloVision and Haeundae-gu, Busan to revitalize the local economy. With expectations of eased social distancing, they aim to boost local tourism and provide customers with differentiated experiences.
LG Uplus, LG HelloVision, and Haeundae-gu announced on the 7th that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the revitalization of Haeundae-gu's local economy.
Through this MOU, LG Uplus, LG HelloVision, and Haeundae-gu will cooperate to revive the local economy by attracting tourists and collaborating with small business owners. LG Uplus plans to offer discounts and benefits using its membership program in partnership with various small businesses in Haeundae-gu. They will also introduce Haeundae’s tourist attractions through a web entertainment show being prepared as part of the company-wide brand campaign "Why Not?".
LG HelloVision will support small business owners in Haeundae-gu in expanding their sales channels by linking with local channel commerce. Haeundae-gu will play a role in facilitating efficient support from LG Uplus and LG HelloVision by coordinating with local merchant associations. LG Uplus and LG HelloVision plan to participate in the "Haeundae Sand Festival" hosted by Haeundae-gu in May.
Going forward, LG Uplus will continue regional economic revitalization projects by partnering with various local governments, starting with Haeundae-gu. They will enhance local promotional effects by linking with web entertainment content and expand membership usage nationwide.
Jung Hye-yoon, Group Head of LG Uplus, stated, "We will contribute to regional revitalization nationwide through campaigns aligned with our brand direction of 'bold challenges for joyful changes in customers’ daily lives.'"
Park Eun-jung, in charge at LG HelloVision, said, "We will actively strive to revitalize the depressed local economy through various methods such as local channel commerce and broadcasting programs."
