With the arrival of clear spring weather and expectations for reopening (economic resumption), demand for outdoor activities is increasing. Last weekend (April 1-3), sales related to outdoor activities such as sports and golf at Lotte Department Store recorded growth rates of 20-70% compared to the same period last year, showing significant increases. This coming weekend, spring flowers are expected to be in full bloom in the metropolitan area, so the number of people wanting to enjoy outdoor activities including flower viewing is expected to increase further.
Lotte Premium Outlet Time Villas, newly opened last September in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi Province, will hold the spring 'Blooming Time Villas' festival from the 8th to the 24th. Tulips are planted throughout the area to welcome customers. About 22,000 tulips have been planted along the lawn plaza walking path with Barasan Mountain as the backdrop, creating a 'tulip flower path.' A 'photo kiosk' is also operated where visitors can take photos with the tulips as the background and instantly print their photos after uploading certification shots on SNS.
Reflecting the characteristics of a suburban outlet with many family customers accompanied by children, events such as a 'marching band parade' starting each weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during the festival period, 'face painting' that draws flowers on the back of hands and faces, and 'balloon art' that makes flower-shaped balloons have been prepared. On the 16th and 17th, the popera duo 'La Dolce' will be invited to hold 'terrace concerts' at 3 PM and 5 PM daily on the outdoor lawn plaza.
On weekends, a 'Flower & Greenery Market' where various spring flowers can be found will be held. The gardening cafe 'Oops a Daisy by Sogongwon,' operated by Lotte Department Store, will carefully select and present flowers, plants, terracotta pots, and designer flowerpots suitable for spring in collaboration with the famous flower platform 'Kukka.' The market will be held on the lawn plaza from the 8th to the 10th, and appreciation gifts such as vases and flower carrier bags will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis according to purchase amounts.
From the 1st of next month, visitors can also meet the giant 'Valley Bear.' The 'Valley Bear,' currently exhibited and popular at the World Park lawn plaza of Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, will be displayed at Time Villas from May 1 to 29. A 15-meter-tall giant 'Valley Bear' and various 'Valley Bear' dolls under 2 meters will be installed. A pop-up store where 'Valley Bear' goods can be found will also be operated.
