Kang Sung-cheon, Vice Minister of SMEs and Startups, Visits Innovative Excellent SMEs Site
Visit of Park Systems, Musinsa, and Furiosa AI
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced that Deputy Minister Kang Seong-cheon will visit three innovative excellent small and medium enterprises, including Park Systems, over two days on the 6th and 7th to listen to on-site opinions.
This on-site visit was promoted to visit promising companies that will lead the global market in the future based on creative ideas and innovative cutting-edge technology, and to hear difficulties and suggestions experienced during their growth process.
A total of three companies were visited this time. The first company visited is Park Systems, which possesses core technology for atomic force microscopes. Atomic force microscopes are equipment that measure and analyze the shape and physical properties of samples at the nanometer level, and Park Systems continues its growth with its own brand and a global sales network.
The second company visited is the fashion commerce company Musinsa, an online platform company with more than 5,650 brands based on differentiated content. It has about 10 million members, and in 2019, it became a unicorn company, an unlisted startup with a corporate value exceeding 1 trillion won.
Deputy Minister Kang then visited Puriosa AI, a system semiconductor fabless company. This company proved its technological competitiveness by surpassing global companies in the inference category of the 2019 world-renowned artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor benchmark competition 'MLPerf.' Last year, it attracted 80 billion won in investment from companies including Naver, and in March of this year, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kakao Enterprise to promote business cooperation.
