On the 3rd, at the transition committee press conference in Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, President-elect Yoon said, "I will announce the new government's Prime Minister candidate," adding, "The candidate to lead the cabinet is former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo."
President-elect Yoon continued, "Former Prime Minister Han has been recognized for his abilities regardless of political affiliation and has experienced key positions in state affairs," explaining, "Based on his extensive experience encompassing both public and private sectors, he is the right person to oversee and coordinate the cabinet and carry out government tasks." Former Prime Minister Han has served as Presidential Chief of Economic Affairs, Minister for Government Policy Coordination, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and Prime Minister.
