According to Seoul and other local governments, from midnight to 9 PM on this day, 231,926 people across 17 cities and provinces nationwide were confirmed positive for COVID-19. This is 27,306 fewer than the same time the previous day. The average daily number of new cases over the past week is approximately 306,072.
As of 9 PM on this day, new cases were 116,158 (50.1%) in the metropolitan area and 115,768 (49.9%) in non-metropolitan areas.
