JTBC Studio Renamed to 'SLL' for a Fresh Start
"Targeting the Best Creative Studio Across Genres and Platforms"
JTBC Studio is rebranding as 'SLL' and embarking on a new journey. At the regular shareholders' meeting on the 31st, the agenda to change the company name was approved. SLL stands for Studio LuluLala, which implies the creation of enjoyable content. CEO Jeong Kyung-moon stated, "It embodies our ambition to grow as a business encompassing the global content market," adding, "We will transcend genres and platforms to become a world-class creative studio."
SLL oversees all areas of content including planning, development, investment, production, and distribution. Its production capabilities have already been well proven. Its affiliated production companies?BA Entertainment, Drama House, Studio Bird, Studio Slam, Studio Phoenix, Anthology Studio, Content Jium, Climax Studio, Perfect Storm Film, and Production H?have showcased a diverse range of content. Its subsidiary Film Monster has also risen significantly recently, buoyed by the success of the Netflix original 'Now at Our School.'

Last year, SLL invested in the online video service (OTT) TVING to strengthen its original content lineup. An SLL representative explained, "We continue to collaborate steadily with shareholders such as CJ ENM and Naver," adding, "We have also enhanced our computer graphics (CG) and visual effects (VFX) capabilities through an initial equity investment in VA Corporation." They further elaborated, "Based on partnerships with Take One Company, Meta Comedy, and 21 Studio, we plan to expand content genres into games, webtoons, and digital short-form."
