Busan City Provides 'Busan-Style Health Care Set' to Home Treatment Patients Aged 60 and Over
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Starting from the 31st, Busan City will provide the ‘Busan-style Health Management Set’ to home treatment patients aged 60 and over.
Since the 25th, elderly individuals aged 60 and over who test positive for COVID-19 through professional rapid antigen tests at local clinics and hospitals are classified as the general management group.
The general management group must manage their health independently during home treatment, so the city has decided to support the Busan-style Health Management Set only to applicants among home treatment patients aged 60 and over.
To prevent duplicate payments for the intensive management group aged 65 and over, if the Busan-style Health Management Set has been applied for and received, the government’s intensive management group home treatment tools provided by the public health center will not be supplied.
Among the existing age group of 12 to 59 years, vulnerable groups such as ▲single-person households ▲registered disabled persons ▲basic livelihood security recipients ▲near-poverty class, and ▲elderly aged 60 and over can apply for the Busan-style Health Management Set on the Busan City COVID-19 website.
Eligible individuals will receive an internet address to access the application page via a confirmation guidance text message.
The Busan-style Health Management Set provided includes antipyretics, comprehensive cold medicine, a thermometer, and a self-diagnosis kit, but does not include an oxygen saturation meter.
Patients who do not receive the Busan-style Health Management Set can also receive medication prescriptions through non-face-to-face telephone consultations at local clinics and hospitals when symptoms appear. If face-to-face treatment is necessary, outpatient appointments can be made at the relevant public health center.
Busan City began supporting the Busan-style Health Management Set for vulnerable groups in the general management group aged 12 to 59, who were in the blind spot of government home treatment kit support, and on the 11th included vulnerable groups aged 60 to 64 in the support target.

Due to unstable supply of government home treatment kits, the provision of government intensive management group home treatment tools for the intensive management group aged 65 and over has not been smooth. Therefore, since the 18th, the city has stepped in to support the Busan-style Health Management Set for vulnerable groups among the intensive management group aged 65 and over.
