Krafton Holds 15th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders... "Full-Scale Investment in Deep Learning and NFT"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Krafton held its 15th regular general meeting of shareholders on the 31st at Sono Felice Convention in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
About 300 shareholders attended the first regular general meeting of shareholders held since the listing on the KOSPI market in August 2021. Shareholders who could not attend the meeting exercised their voting rights on each agenda item through electronic voting conducted for 14 days from March 17 to 30.
At this general meeting of shareholders, all six agenda items were approved, including ▲approval of the 15th financial statements ▲granting of stock options ▲approval of the director remuneration limit ▲revision of the executive retirement benefit regulations ▲coverage of deficits and transfer of capital reserves to retained earnings ▲and amendments to the articles of incorporation.
Krafton announced that to enhance shareholder value, it plans to establish and disclose various shareholder return policies, including dividends, by comprehensively considering investments for the company’s sustainable growth, management environment, and financial situation. In addition, to enter new businesses and diversify operations, it added business purposes such as ▲blockchain-related business and research and development ▲lifelong education and operation of lifelong education facilities in the education service sector ▲management consulting and support services.

Krafton CEO Changhan Kim said in his greeting at the general meeting of shareholders, “Despite the expansion of COVID-19 and market uncertainties, Krafton achieved more than 25% growth compared to the previous year based on the global IP, PUBG IP, and recorded 94% overseas sales, establishing itself as a global game company.” He added, “In 2022, Krafton will secure sustainable growth engines and competitiveness by intensifying research and investment in deep learning, VR, and Web 3.0/NFT based on its core capability of game development.”
