The manager of Emart24 Seongnam Tanri Branch decided to donate after hearing broadcasts about the difficulties faced by marginalized groups due to COVID-19 and other reasons. The joint donation is a sharing campaign operated by Emart24 since 2019, designed as one of the social contribution activities to help vulnerable groups nationwide in line with the characteristics of the franchise business with stores across the country. It is conducted in a matching grant method where Emart24 headquarters participates together by matching the amount of goods (value) delivered by the franchise store to the donation destination.
Emart24 expects the scale of donations to expand this year as awareness of the joint donation increases and franchise store participation continues to grow. In fact, in the first year of the joint donation in 2019, sharing was conducted 23 times with 8 franchise stores, and last year the number of participating franchise stores increased to 17. Over the past three years, a total of 120 times and goods worth about 170 million KRW have been donated.
