SD Biosensor Invests 188 Billion KRW to Expand Jeungpyeong Factory... M10 Cartridge Production
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] SD Biosensor announced on the 29th that it will invest 188 billion KRW in its Chungbuk Jeungpyeong factory to expand the automated production facilities and equipment for the M10 cartridge.
SD Biosensor aims to produce 57 million new M10 cartridges annually at the Jeungpyeong factory by 2023. Through this investment, SD Biosensor will additionally establish mass production facilities at the Jeungpyeong factory, following its sites in Cheongwon, Pyeongtaek, and Gumi.

The expanded Jeungpyeong factory plans to produce cartridges for the rapid molecular diagnostic device ‘STANDARD M10’. In addition to the ‘STANDARD M10 SARS-CoV-2’, which received formal approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in December last year, cartridges for diagnosing various diseases such as HIV, HCV, and MDR-TB are also scheduled for production within the year.
