Enjoy Your Spring Walk to the Fullest! ... Changwon City Completely Eliminates Hazards on the 'Deck Road'
Safety Inspections at Over 250 Locations from March 31 to April 8
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Changwon City in Gyeongnam Province will conduct safety inspections of deck roads installed around parks and rivers from March 31 to April 8.
Deck roads refer to wooden pathways built in forests, seaside areas, parks, and riversides that allow people to walk while enjoying the surrounding natural scenery.
The city plans to inspect about 250 deck roads in the area together with private experts, checking for structural damage, deck corrosion, damage due to deterioration, floor warping, and protrusion of fixed metal fittings.
By identifying and removing hazards in advance, the city aims to prevent safety accidents. Minor issues found will be repaired immediately, while those requiring budget allocation and more time will be temporarily addressed on-site before full repairs.
