Strengthened Benefits for Food Service Industry with Change Accumulation... Shinhan Launches 'Itsmore Card'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Shinhan Card announced on the 27th that it has launched the 'Eats More' card, which enhances rewards for the food service industry in its small change accumulation service.
The Eats More card first accumulates small change under 1,000 KRW as My Shinhan Points when making payments of 5,000 KRW or more at all online and offline affiliated stores. In addition, it strengthens benefits in the 'food service sector,' which is closely related to daily life, by providing additional My Shinhan Points accumulation services.
When spending 15,000 KRW or more at offline food service affiliates, delivery apps such as Baedal Minjok, Yogiyo, Coupang Eats, Ttaenggyeoyo, and online markets like Market Kurly, GS Fresh Mall, Oasis Market, users receive 500 points; for 30,000 KRW or more, 1,000 points; and for 50,000 KRW or more, 1,500 points additionally. Moreover, if payment is made through the Shinhan Play app, an extra 100 points are awarded.
For example, if you pay 15,800 KRW for lunch using Shinhan Play touch payment, 800 KRW, which is the amount under 1,000 KRW, is accumulated as My Shinhan Points, and including the additional food service accumulation (500 points) and Shinhan Play additional accumulation (100 points), a total of 1,400 points are accumulated.
My Shinhan Points accumulation depends on the previous month's card usage performance: if it is between 400,000 KRW and less than 800,000 KRW, up to 16,000 points (8,000 points each for basic/additional) can be accumulated; between 800,000 KRW and less than 1,200,000 KRW, up to 30,000 points (15,000 points each for basic/additional); and 1,200,000 KRW or more, up to 60,000 points (30,000 points each for basic/additional). Points can be accumulated once per day and up to three times per month at the same affiliate.

Additionally, the Eats More card offers a foreign currency exchange fee waiver service when accumulated points are deposited into Shinhan Bank's Change-Up foreign currency deposit account. A Shinhan Card official stated, "By providing additional accumulation services for offline food service industries and delivery app usage, we expect this to help food service self-employed business owners who have recently been facing difficulties."
