View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Daol Financial Group held a 'New Name and CI Declaration Ceremony' at its Yeouido headquarters on the 25th, announcing a fresh start.
Daol Financial Group is the new name of KTB Financial Group. KTB originated from Korea Technology Banking (KTB), the predecessor of KTB Investment & Securities, and the name was given in 2000 when the company primarily focused on venture capital business. After more than 20 years, Daol Financial Group has grown into a comprehensive financial group operating 13 domestic and overseas affiliates. The group plans to embark on a second leap forward with a new name and CI that well reflect its status and image.
The new name 'Daol' is a pure Korean word meaning 'fortune comes with everything you do.'
Daol Financial Group explained, "'Daol' encompasses the group's value of accompanying customers' success through innovative financial services," adding, "It is an easy-to-pronounce and easy-to-use name that expresses our intention to approach customers more familiarly."
Chairman Lee Byung-chul of Daol Financial Group said in his commemorative speech, "We must establish ourselves as trendsetters who lead market innovation and anticipate customer demand before anyone else," and urged, "Furthermore, we must lead paradigm shifts and pioneer new markets."
Meanwhile, Daol Financial Group currently operates 13 affiliates domestically and internationally. In Korea, it runs six companies: Daol Investment & Securities, Daol Savings Bank, Daol Investment (VC), Daol Asset Management, Daol Private Equity (PE), and Daol Credit Information.
