Discovering and Nurturing Startups in Low-Carbon and Eco-Friendly Sectors

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] SK Innovation is joining forces with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development to create an eco-friendly startup ecosystem.
On the 24th, SK Innovation announced on the 25th that it signed a business agreement at the SK Seorin Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development to operate the "Startup Leap Package Large Corporation Collaboration Program" aimed at discovering, nurturing, and supporting commercialization of startups in the low-carbon and eco-friendly sectors.
SK Innovation will jointly evaluate with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development to select 15 outstanding startups in the low-carbon and eco-friendly fields, including waste resource recycling, carbon reduction and capture, and electric vehicle battery-related technologies.
Support will be provided for eco-friendly sector investor relations (IR) coaching, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) consulting, encouragement to participate in global forums, and collaboration projects between startups and SK Innovation affiliates will be discovered along with technical advisory services.
The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development will handle recruitment, selection, and evaluation of startups and provide up to 300 million KRW in commercialization funds per company.
