Gwangju City Election Commission Announces 'Collaborative Project for Promoting Fair Elections' Contest
Encouraging Voter Interest and Participation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Election Commission announced on the 24th that it will hold a public contest for the 'Fair Election Promotion Collaborative Project' to encourage voter interest and participation in the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections to be held on June 1 and to foster a fair election atmosphere.
The contest areas include ▲ projects to spread the atmosphere of fair elections ▲ projects to raise awareness of the meaning and importance of sovereignty ▲ projects to cultivate democratic citizenship awareness among voters ▲ and other projects that can enhance the value of fair elections.
Applicants must be private civic and social organizations, media or religious organizations, or humanities, cultural, and arts organizations that can ensure political neutrality and are eligible to conduct fair election promotion activities under the Public Official Election Act.
Selected organizations can receive support of up to 8 million KRW per project, and the specific support amount will be determined through a review based on the submitted application documents.
Applications will be accepted until the 31st, and detailed information on the application method and submission documents can be found on the Gwangju Election Commission website.
